Hi, I’m Lorna Dounaeva
I started out as a politics graduate and worked for the British Home Office for a number of years, before turning to crime fiction. My first novel, FRY came out in 2013. Since then, I’ve published my second book, May Queen Killers and I’ve been working on a number of different projects, including more books in the FRY series.
I was named after the novel, Lorna Doone, and as you would expect, I love reading! My favourite genres are psychological thrillers, (especially authors like Rachel Abbott, Julia Crouch, Nicci French and Mark Edwards). I also like women’s fiction (Marian Keyes, Sophie Kinsella, Lisa Jewell and Jane Green) and a bit of historical fiction (Jane Austen, The Bronte sisters and more recently, Victoria Hislop.)
I live in Surrey, England with my husband and our 3 children, who keep me busy wiping food off the ceiling and removing mints from USB sockets.
Please be sure to sign up for my newsletter so you can stay up to date with my latest releases.
